EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Test Strips are used with the EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Meter to measure glucose levels in whole blood. The detection range is from 30 to 600 mg/dL (1.7 to 33.3 mmol/L).Only a few drops of blood are needed for a test; the sample is drawn into the reaction chamber when the strip tip contacts blood. EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Test Strips are designed to be used solely with the EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Meter. Using the strips with any other systems will lead to inaccurate results. Use of the EUSURE ONE /EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Meter with any test strip other than EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Test Strips is not authorized by Eumed Co., Ltd.
Intended Use
The EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Glucose test strip is intended to measure the glucose levels in whole blood with the EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Meter. It is suitable for personswith diabetes to monitor their blood glucose levels at home by themselves. The system can also be used at clinical sites by health care professionals to test the blood glucose levels of patients.
Test Principle
The EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Test Strip is a kind of electrochemical biosensor. A blood sample is drawn by capillary action into a small chamber on the strip that will fill automatically to achieve a good sample volume. When the glucose in the blood sample reacts with a reagent on an electrode, current can be detected by the EUSURE ONE/EUKAREŽ Blood Glucose Meter when a constant voltage is applied across the electrodes. This current is then converted into a reading of the glucose concentration by an embedded transfer function.
IMPORTANT:
Different puncture sites may lead to different results. To obtain accurate results, a blood sample drawn from the fingertip is highly recommended.
Testing Procedure (For detail description, refer to User Guide)
Fully insert the strip into the Test Port of the meter with the contact area forward.The meter will be activated, and the embedded code number will appear.After a moment, the indicative icon will appear.This code number should match with the code number on the strip vial.
Clean the blood sample selection area (usually a fingertip).
Obtain a blood sample using a new lancet (included in the kit or from a certified vendor).
From the end-side marked with red-point of (transparency) reaction chamber to draw the blood sample until the sample fills the reaction chamber.The meter will beep when ready.
The test results showing the blood glucose level will appear on the LCD screen in about fifteen seconds.Test results are automatically stored in the memory for future reference.
Shut the meter off by removing the strip.
Properly dispose of the used strip.
